Annual Elections

The Annual Elections for the HOA Board will be held Monday, April 14, 2014 at 7:00 pm (registration 6:45) at the West Pool.  Please come by and place your vote.
 
Pool Rules

Now that Pool Season is quickly approaching, please remember the rules of the Pool Areas.
1. No Bottles or Glass in the Pool Areas.
2. The pool hours are strictly enforced 7:00am - 11:00pm. Any violators will be fined.
3. No Smoking at the West Pool.
4. No Smoking in either of the Saunas.
5. No children under 18 years of age at the East Pool.
6. Children under 18 must be accompanied by an adult.
7. Swimming attire must be worn at all times.
8. Please turn off the BBQ's after use. Please be respectful and clean them after use.
9. Please respect your neighbors that live around the pool areas by keeping the noise to a minimum.
10. Help keep our pool areas clean by cleaning up your trash especially cigarette butts.
AND THE NUMBER 1 RULE THAT NEEDS TO BE FOLLOWED:
11.  No More than 6 Guests per Unit (unless there is prior written approval from Management) are allowed at the pool.  A Card Carrying Resident needs to be present at ALL TIMES with their guests.

Dear Canoga Lakes Homeowners Association Member:
 
We would like to take this opportunity to introduce you to Valley Association Management, Inc.  Your Board of Directors has selected our company to provide professional community association management services to your community effective April 1, 2013.
 
Jim Bucks will continue to serve as your community association manager as he has since 2007. He is a certified manager and was an officer with your previous management company, Premier Property Services for the last six years. Jim has branched out and now formed his own company, Valley Association Management, Inc.
 
WHAT DOES THE MANAGEMENT COMPANY DO?
 
The Management Company works closely with your Board of Directors to oversee the day to day operation of your Association.  Examples of these responsibilities are collection of the monthly assessments, conducting common area inspections, preparation of the financial reports and board packets for review by the Board of Directors, and overseeing the work of all maintenance personnel hired by the Association.  Should you have any questions regarding your community or if you are in need of assistance, please do not hesitate to contact our offices at (818) 264-4622 or email to jim@valleyhoa.net
 
WHEN WILL I RECEIVE MY ASSOCIATION STATEMENT?
 
You will receive your courtesy association assessment statements by approximately the 25th of each month.  All assessments are due and payable on the first of each month and are assessed a 10% late charge after the 15th. You will continue banking with the same bank but some information will change and you will be notified of all changes shortly.  You will be receiving new coupon booklets shortly.  Please make all checks payable to Canoga Lakes HOA.
 
WHAT ABOUT EMERGENCIES?
 
For any Association emergency which could damage life or property, please contact Valley Association Management, Inc. at (818) 264-4622.  A twenty-four hour emergency response service is maintained.  For all other maintenance calls, please contact your Management Representative during normal business hours, 9:00 a.m. to 5:00 p.m., Monday through Friday.

Moving Instructions

Please Note:  If you are moving into or out of the complex, all trucks must enter through the Farralone Gate.  You may not park moving trucks of any kind in your parking space or guest parking without prior permission.  ABSOLUTELY NO PODS/STORAGE UNIT ARE ALLOWED IN ANY PARKING SPACE OR ON THE PROPERTY FOR MORE THAN 24 HOURS.

Hi, I am a volunteer coordinator with Joyce Pearson's campaign for Los Angeles City Council. I wanted to inquire about upcoming events and possibly set up a meet and greet with the residents that live in Canoga Lakes. This would be a great opportunity for some of the residents in Canoga Lake to get to know Joyce and speak with Joyce about some of the local community issues. Joyce would love to meet and earn the support of her community. Please feel free to email me or give me a call so that we may schedule a meet and greet.

Letter to the Homeowners

Attention Canoga Lakes Residents:
It has come to our attention that rumors are flying around about a dog park in the complex.  To put these rumors to rest, we would like to inform you that the Board was gathering information regarding a "potential" dog park in the complex at the request of several homeowners.  The Board has done some research and discussed with Richard the ideas of the project.  The Board HAS discussed the legal and environmental issues with this project.  The Board HAS NOT approved this project nor has any money been spent on this project.  The Board has planned to put this idea of a dog park out to vote to the owners of the complex.  Please rest assured that the Board would not make any decisions with an impact on the Common Area without the vote of homeowners.

Community Garage Sale at Canoga Lakes

Canoga Lakes Residents will be having a community Garage Sale on October 6, 2012 9:00am - 2:00pm.  The Community Garage Sales will be by the Farralone Exit Gate.  You can bring your own table to set up your sale items.  If would would like to participate, please contact Wanda at (818) 921-0174.
 
Retractable Leashes

Attention All Dog Owners:
If you are using a Retractable Leash, please keep it in a locked position.  If the leash is  not in a locked position at 6 feet or less, you could be fined.

The Summer 2012 Newsletter has been posted under the Newsletter Tab on the left side of the screen.  If you are a homeowner with a tenant in your unit, please share the newsletter with your tenants.  It is always important to keep tenants up to date with the rules and regulations.
 
Chaise Lounge Chairs

Good news!!  Our new Chaise Lounge chairs are here at the West Pool.  There are 8 new chairs for you to enjoy.  Please be considerate and help us maintain the chairs.  No Jumping, Standing or Stacking the chairs to help us to keep them looking nice.

If you have general questions about parking, dues, your account or any issue regarding the Canoga Lakes property please email Jim Bucks at jim@valleyhoa.net or call 818-264-4622 during normal business hours.
 
For Landcape Issues, please email landscape@canogalakes.org.  Trees are trimmed on a quarterly basis.
 
For gate card or gate issues, please email gates@canogalakes.org.
 
Please do not contact a Board Member or our maintenance staff directly regarding any issues on the property.  The approriate channels are listed above.  A Board Member, Richard and Luis do not have the authority to handle an issue directly with a homeowner.  The direction must come from our Management Company.  Landscape and Gates can be handled through the above emails.
